Welcome

The City of Fairfield:

Located two miles north of Birmingham, Fairfield was established in 1910. The city (originally named Corey) was developed as a residential community for employees of Tennessee Coal and Iron Company’s Fairfield Works plant. U.S. The city’s slogan is “An Older City Moving in a New Direction”.

Willie Mays Park:

that In August 1985, what had been known for years as the “ 66th Street Park” was dedicated to honor Willie Mays and rechristened “Willie Mays Park”. As the hub of local Fairfield youth community activities, the park today is home to high school baseball games, college practice games and neighborhood pick up games. Funds raised will help us provide necessary renovations to the park, in order to assure that it will continue to offer well-equipped, safe and inspiring place for all kids to learn and play the game that Willie Mays has loved so much. In August 1985, what had been known for years as “Street Park” was dedicated to honor Willie Mays and rechristened.

Say Hey Foundation:

The Say Hey Foundation is dedicated to fulfilling Willie Mays’ dream of giving every child a chance, by offering underprivileged youth positive opportunities and safer communities.

No one knows this better than the man himself. Willie Mays has always given credit to the parents, teachers, coaches, mentors and friends who helped him be successful. The Say Hey Foundation is his way of reciprocating. Focusing on education and community investment in the future of underprivileged children. The Say Hey Foundation strives to extend a generous hand to those in need.
